    ‘Kantri’ release delayed

It is reliably learnt that ‘Kantri’ starring NT Rama Rao and Hansika had a lot of scenes and dialogues criticizing the Congress government.

Dialogues like, ‘Corruption is ruling the roost in this government’, ‘State turned bankrupt during the Congress rule’ and ‘Farmers’ problems became multi-folded during the Congress regime’ and many more such dialogues were scripted for the hero in this film.

Especially, these dialogues gained significance in the wake of reports that NTR is most likely to campaign in favour of Telugu Desam during the forthcoming general elections.

However, one had to wait and watch how powerful those dialogues are till the release of the film. Meanwhile, the release date of ‘Kantri’ directed by Meher Ramesh and produced by Chalasani Aswanidutt on the banner of Vyjayanti Movies was postponed by two days.

Earlier the producer planned to release the film on May 7 but delayed it by two days. Though the reason was said to be some technical day, there is some other peculiar reason behind the postponement.

The biggest hit in Aswanidutt’s career, ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Atiloka Sundari’ was released on May 9 only. As the Tollywood is known for sentiments, this sentiment might have prompted the producer to delay the release by two more days.

Tanisha, sister of Bollywood heroine Kazole, is making her debut into Telugu films through ‘Kantri’ as a glamour doll. There is a very good response to the audio of ‘Kantri’ and Manisharma scored music for the flick.
